The photo policy at Camp requires you to make a choice concerning photographs and videos that are taken of you at Camp. For purposes of this selection, the term “photograph” means any film or digital photography or video recording. You may select from one of three categories: red, yellow, or green. The categories and ramifications are described below.
Red Wristband: Do NOT take my picture under any circumstances for any reason. I will wear a red wristband at all times to help the Camp photographers determine that I do not wish to be photographed at any time. If I become aware of a photographer taking my photograph, I will notify the photographer that I am wearing a red wristband and the photographer will delete the photo. I agree to not participate in any group photographs at Camp, including the Camp group photo, the pony show photos, or other such photos. I understand that there is a possibility that my photograph may be unintentionally taken by a Camp photographer in situations where my wristband is not visible. I understand that all photographs taken at Camp will be reviewed by both the photographers and another staff member to be sure that any photographs that include an individual wearing a red wristband are deleted or the individual’s image is edited out. This will happen every night at headquarters.
Yellow Wristband: Camp photographers may take my photograph. I understand that these photographs will be shown on the slideshows at Camp Crucible and may be selected to be displayed on slide shows at Crucible events to help promote Camp. Photographs taken of me will not be used in print media for distribution by Camp Crucible. Photographs taken of me will not be used by Camp Crucible, The Crucible, or Crucible Events in any publicly accessible websites, blogs, or social media. Copies of photos taken of me will be provided to me for free. I agree to sign a photo release.
Green Wristband: I am okay with photography. Photos of me may be displayed by Camp Crucible in slide shows and in print and electronic marketing materials to promote Camp Crucible, which may include publicly accessible websites, blogs, or social media. Copies of photos taken of me will be provided to me for free. I agree to sign a photo release.
For all photography at Camp, I may refuse the taking of photographs at any time for any reason, regardless of which wristband I am wearing. I understand that the Camp photographers will make their best effort to make photos available for review at Camp Crucible in the slide show. I may also request that the Camp Crucible photographers delete photographs of me at any time, and they will make their best effort to do so.
Some photographs at Camp are representative of larger groups such as the group photos of the entire Camp, staff, or specific cabin groups or activities. For these photographs, which contain groups of people, I may request that my image be deleted or obscured in the photograph without deleting the entire group photo.
